1. About these terms

These terms apply to every FasoSejour booking. If you booked through a rental platform (Airbnb, Booking.com…), they complement that platform's own terms. By booking, you agree to these terms. Please note that some of our places have steps or stairs.

2. Booking & deposit

Your booking is secured once you pay a 25% deposit of the total stay within 24 hours of booking. After that, the booking may be canceled. The balance is due on arrival at the latest.

3. Payment methods

We accept Orange Money, Wave, cash, bank transfer and credit/debit cards.

4. Security deposit

A security deposit of 100,000 F CFA (or €155 or $200) is required for every stay. It's paid together with the booking deposit and refunded after the check-out inspection, minus any damage or outstanding charges.

5. Check-in & check-out

Check-in: flexible — just let us know your arrival time. Check-out: by 12 noon. We do a quick walk-through and an electricity meter reading at check-in and check-out.

6. Cancellation

  • Within 24 hours of booking: full refund of everything you've paid.
  • More than 7 days before check-in: 50% refund of the amounts paid.
  • Less than 7 days before check-in: no refund.

If you booked through a rental platform, that platform's cancellation policy applies.

7. Length of stay

Your stay lasts for the dates agreed at booking. Extensions depend on availability and need our express approval — they're never automatic.

In case of force majeure, you may, at our discretion, shorten your stay and get a refund for the unused nights, minus costs already incurred. Force majeure covers:

  • illness or accident requiring your hospitalization or medical evacuation;
  • illness or accident of a close relative requiring your presence;
  • early return for a new job, with proof.

Outside these cases, early departures are not refunded. Costs incurred at the start of your stay (cleaning, electricity) are never refundable.

8. Rates & electricity

Water and gas are included. For electricity, you choose between two plans when you book, each with its own nightly rate:

  • Electricity included: up to 5 kWh per day included; any extra usage is charged to you.
  • Basic plan: electricity is fully at your expense.

The meter is read at check-in and check-out. The residence has a backup generator.

9. Internet

Wi-Fi is available for all guests.

10. Cleaning, kitchenware & linens

Your place is cleaned every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please return the kitchenware in good condition at the end of your stay. Depending on the length of your stay, we provide soap, shampoo and a bath towel — please leave the towel when you check out.

11. House rules

Our places are non-smoking; smoking is tolerated in the courtyard and on the balcony. Please respect the maximum occupancy and keep things quiet for the neighbors. Any damage found at the check-out inspection will be deducted from the security deposit.

12. Location

The location of each place and its distance from downtown are shown in the listing. Please check them before booking — we can't accept complaints about distance to your points of interest.

13. Personal data

We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, available at www.fasosejour.com/politique-de-confidentialite.

14. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Burkina Faso. If a disagreement arises, we'll first look for a friendly solution together; failing that, the courts of Ouagadougou will have jurisdiction.
